Glad Green is an independent creative business offering digital products, newsletters and other online content through the Glad Green website.

The Glad Green Gazette and marketing emails

Glad Green uses Brevo to manage its mailing list and send marketing emails.

Signing up to the mailing list is optional and is not a condition of making a purchase.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email.

If you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive Glad Green marketing emails unless you choose to subscribe again in the future.

A limited record of your email address may be retained on an unsubscribe or suppression list so that your request not to receive further marketing can be respected.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent Glad Green from sending essential communications relating to an order, payment or enquiry.

Purchases and digital products

When you purchase a product from Glad Green, information necessary to process and fulfil your order may be collected and used.

This may include your name, email address, billing information, order details and the products you have purchased.

Digital products may be stored or delivered using Google Drive.

Where Google Drive is used to deliver a purchase, you may receive a link allowing you to access and download the relevant files.

Glad Green does not intentionally give Google access to information about your purchase beyond what is necessary for providing the file-storage and delivery service.

You should download and save your purchased files somewhere secure once you receive them.

Payments

Payments made through the Glad Green website are processed securely using Mollie, the payment service provider used by the Glad Green online shop.

When you make a payment, Mollie may process information required to complete, verify and protect the transaction.

Depending on your chosen payment method, this may include information such as:

• your name;

• billing details;

• email address;

• payment information;

• IP address; and

• device or browser information.

Glad Green does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Mollie is responsible for the personal information it processes in connection with payment transactions in accordance with its own privacy obligations.

Website hosting and online shop

The Glad Green website and online shop are hosted using Webador.

Webador processes information required to operate the website, online shop and associated technical services.

This may include technical information such as IP addresses and website activity where necessary for the operation, security and maintenance of the service.

Cookies and website analytics

The Glad Green website uses cookies and similar technologies provided by Webador.

Webador places technical cookies that are necessary for the website and online shop to function correctly.

These may include cookies used to:

• maintain a website session;

• operate website features;

• remember items added to a wishlist; and

• recognise the website owner when administering the site.

Because these cookies are necessary for the website to function, consent is not normally required for them.

Webador also uses Google Analytics in a privacy-focused configuration. Webador states that visitors' IP addresses are hidden and that Google is not permitted to use the information for its other services.

Webador may also create technical log files containing information such as IP addresses in order to diagnose problems and monitor the operation of its systems. Webador states that these log files and IP addresses are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Glad Green does not currently use additional advertising cookies, tracking pixels, embedded social-media feeds, embedded video services or other third-party tracking tools.

If this changes in the future, this privacy policy and any necessary cookie controls will be updated accordingly.

You can also manage cookies through the settings in your web browser.

Who may your information be shared with?

Glad Green does not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Information may be processed or shared with trusted service providers where this is necessary to operate Glad Green or provide a service you have requested.

These currently include:

• Webador – website hosting and ecommerce;

• Mollie – payment processing;

• Brevo – newsletter subscription management and email delivery; and

• Google / Google Drive – storage and delivery of digital product files.

Information may also be shared where required by law, regulation, legal process or a legitimate request from an appropriate authority.

Each service provider has its own responsibilities for protecting personal information and may process information in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable data protection law.

International transfers

Some of the service providers used by Glad Green may store or process personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, the relevant provider is responsible for using appropriate safeguards where these are required under UK data protection law.

How long is your information kept?

Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where information needs to be retained for legal, accounting or tax purposes.

In general:

• newsletter subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed;

• if you unsubscribe, limited information may be retained on a suppression list so that your request can continue to be honoured;

• enquiry correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any subsequent issue;

• technical website logs are retained according to Webador's own retention periods; and

• purchase and transaction records may be retained for the period required for accounting, tax or legal purposes.

Information that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise securely disposed of where reasonably possible.

Keeping your information safe

Glad Green takes reasonable steps to protect personal information and uses established third-party providers to operate its website, payments, email services and digital file storage.

However, no internet service or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping any account information, download links or files you receive secure.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to:
